A hoodoo is a tall, thin spire of rock typically found in more arid climates. They are a gorgeous feature of the American Southwest. In Moab, Utah, Hilton Hotels Curio Collection combined modern luxury with Western style to inspire the interiors of the Hoodoo Moab hotel.
Interior designer Atwater Inc. Studio used golden hues like toffee and rust to create an earthy vibe, perfect for highlighting the stunning natural world just outside the hotel’s doors. Preciosa used this sophisticated desert feel as inspiration for the more than 400 lights they made for the guestrooms. Bathroom wall sconces feature clear glass lampshades with a brushed bronze metal finish. The unusual floor lamps consist of black matte metal tripod bases and birdcage-style metal shades. Finally, bedside, the lights are made from clear frosted glass shades topped with black metal and suspended on black metal tubes.
