For Fairmont Doha, an emblematic hotel of the creativity and luxury found across the Qatari hospitality scene, we knew the lighting installation should be modern and innovative, both captivating and stunning. We looked to our Signature Designs portfolio for inspiration.

Guests are met with a dynamic swirl of crystal when they step into the lobby. But this isn’t any swirl of crystal – Crystal Swirl is the longest lighting installation we have ever created, stretching a total of 57 metres.

The ballroom is intersected by our giant horizontal installation inspired by water and rain, showing the flexibility of our Signature Designs as well. Bubble glass in the shape of spheres and drops, as well as beads, were used to create a textural, soft design.

The installation gleams with thousands of hand-blown components, its form a stunning embodiment of the fluidity of music. Below the Crystal Swirl sits a piano, adding the final flourish to this captivating musical illusion.

Fairmont Doha, a luxury hotel is a part of Katara Towers, overlooking the Arabian Gulf. The Katara Towers property in Qatar’s coastal city of Lusail is brimming with symbolism. The building’s architectural design skilfully incorporates the iconic scimitar swords from the national seal into a visually stunning set of towers with symmetrical arches. The design was inspired by the sails of a traditional dhow boat, and the towers feature a unique shape and façade. With its curved glass panels and stainless-steel elements, it is sure to become a notable landmark for the city. This is a mixed-used development with residential, hospitality, dining, and leisure facilities.
