Four Seasons Hotel Seoul

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA

The hotel located in Gwanghwamun, a historic central district, was opened in September 2015 and it is the first Four Seasons foray into South Korea.

The design of the hotel is inspired by Korean architectural traditions. Korean elements from traditional houses called hanok combine time-honored building features with inspiration drawn from nature.

Preciosa Lighting proudly supplied the decorative lighting for the two Asian restaurants, the Italian restaurant, lobby lounge, lift lobby and sandwich bar.

Kioku, the Japanese restaurant, is akin to a modern bamboo theater with its dramatic three-story height. The pendants were produced in several shapes and sizes using a specialty material from Japan.

Yu Yuan, the Chinese restaurant, was inspired by the formality of Suzhou´s classical gardens. The chandeliers and wall sconces were designed and carefully produced to complement the elegant space.
