An enduring icon of Czech modernism, the brutalist Fairmont Golden Prague has undergone a sensitive and extensive renovation. In collaboration with Richmond International, Preciosa Lighting has created bespoke handcrafted crystal installations that pay contemporary tribute to the rich heritage of Czech glassmaking.

For the Crystal Room Bar in the hotel lobby, we created a bespoke lighting installation titled Cocktail, capturing the vibrant energy of the space while reflecting its unique atmosphere.
The Cocktail installation features handblown crystal elements inspired by pebbles in various sizes and colors. The combination of clear, amber, and water-blue adds depth, movement, and color to the contemporary interior.
Another of our lighting installations shines in the reception and lobby. It is composed of handblown crystal discs in various diameters and textures — frosted, bubbled, and crackled. It is in these details that the true beauty of craftsmanship is revealed.

Situated on Prague's prestigious Pařížská Street, between the historic Old Town and the banks of the Vltava River, Fairmont Golden Prague occupies a unique crossroads of architectural heritage, cultural significance and contemporary luxury. Originally constructed between 1968 and 1974 as the InterContinental Prague, the building remains one of the city’s most celebrated examples of Brutalist architecture and among the first international five-star hotels established in former Czechoslovakia. Today, Fairmont Golden Prague is a reimagined landmark where bold architecture, Czech craftsmanship, and modern hospitality meet.
