About

Sweet Butterflies

When the mastery of the pastry chef Iveta Fabešová and the art of the glassmakers from Preciosa Lighting come together, something truly exceptional is created. The Sweet Butterflies installation in the new branch of Iveta Fabešová's confectionery in the iconic Masaryčka building is proof of this.

This project brings a subtle touch of nature into a modern interior and lures visitors into a sweet world full of elegance and hope.
The butterfly, a symbol of hope and new beginnings, has a strong personal meaning for Iveta Fabešová as she herself has experienced a restart and continues to pursue her pastry dream.
This lighting installation also bring a touch of luxury to the space. The butterflies are lit and enhance the feeling of a transformation.

Watch the story behind Sweet Butterflies

The butterfly has become my symbol, somewhat unplanned, so I dreamt that butterfly wings would greet you at the entrance to my new confectionery premises. The fragility of the crystal best describes the fragility of the butterfly's wings. That is why I approached Preciosa Lighting to create a swarm of glowing butterflies for me. They transformed my idea into a breathtaking reality.

What Anna really adores about working with crystal is a method that allows her to be both creative and precise.

"Working on the project Sweet Butterflies was a real pleasure. As the designer of the crystal installation for Iveta Fabešová's café, I was able to co-create the harmony of space and flavours, much like a pastry chef lovingly creates his perfect desserts."

Location

Masaryčka

The unique architecture of the world-famous Zaha Hadid architects studio creates new attractive buildings with a signature façade, regenerates the brownfield belonging to Masaryk Railway Station and brings a new quality of everyday life to the city center. Both Zaha Hadid buildings will have several office floors and two floors of retail with perfect access from the street, from the train platforms and also from the elevated roof with its own park landscaping. The new café will span two floors. The upper floor will house the patisserie’s production area as well as a small academy, while the lower level will offer seating for fifty guests.
