Art Nouveau reflected in crystal

W Prague, revitalised through an extensive refurbishment, merges the city’s history with W’s bold design. A luxurious retreat for locals and visitors, it features bespoke Preciosa Lighting fixtures, crafted with modern technology and traditional artistry in collaboration with designer Pavla Doležalová of Chapman Taylor.

Upon entering this Art Nouveau hotel, guests are greeted by a striking 22-metre staircase installation of pendant lighting fixtures, composed of 20 hand-blown crystal gems and 45 Raw Crystals. The adjacent atrium, with its original 1905 stucco and 1925 illustrations, is newly adorned with a nature-inspired centrepiece of handmade crystals, symbolizing Czech heritage.
This dominating piece is a masterful blend of hand-blown glass, crystals, crystal rods, and fused glass. Encircling the design are large gemstones, while delicate bubbles and icing decorate the crystal bars.
The breathtaking Mystical Garden table light decoration features a copper-gold vase crowned with a bouquet of crystal flowers. Crafted from clear, frosted, and bubbled glass, some blooms are tinted with gold paint.

Leaf lights for the corridor

Walking through the hotel's connecting corridor is a captivating experience, with elegant pendants and leaf-shaped wall sconces adorning the walls and ceiling.

Crystal in tones of gold

This elegant installation features six crystal wall sconce leaves and five leaf pendant lights, all enhanced with a metallic paint finish.

W signature in the lobby

Upon entering the lobby, guests are greeted by the hotel chain's signature letter W, handcrafted from resin and measuring 199 × 160 × 48 cm.

The game of colours

The letter's distinctive effect is achieved by gradually adding colours as the resin is poured into a mould. The specialised resin resists oxidation, ensuring it remains ageless with vibrant hues.

Spheres pendant fixture and lamps for the reception lounge

The design of this elegant pendant fixture was created by Michaela Venclová from the Preciosa design team. It naturally complements the interior, just like the other lamps. The table lamps are cordless, powered only by a battery.

Handcrafted alabaster spheres

The original installation consists of 25 handmade crystal balls in alabaster, opal and clear glass design. The size of the installation is 300 × 150 × 209 cm.
