Crystal Beat wins the prestigious Red Dot Award

Preciosa Lighting proudly celebrates another milestone — our Crystal Beat
installation, showcased at Euroluce 2023 in Milan, has been honoured with the
Red Dot Award 2024. This marks our seventh Red Dot win, reaffirming our
commitment to pushing the boundaries of design and innovation.
The Red Dot Design Award is one of the world’s most prestigious design competitions, often referred to as the “Design Oscars." Thousands of participants submit products, communication projects, brands, prototypes, and concepts across three disciplines. The coveted “Red Dot” distinction is an international symbol of outstanding design quality. Crystal Beat captivated the jury with its innovative fusion of light and 3D sound, earning recognition in the Brands & Communication Design / Light Installation category.
Crystal Beat was conceived as a conceptual installation, blending layered light to craft depth and atmosphere, while intricate music compositions drew visitors into a fully immersive experience. This sensory journey captivated and surprised at every turn, allowing visitors to quite literally "hear the light."

The Crystal Beat installation, unveiled at Euroluce 2023 in Milan, spanned nearly 15 metres in width and 5 metres in height, showcasing over 800 meticulously hand-crafted Bohemian crystal components.
Crystal Beat was designed by our Creative Directors Michael Vasku and Andreas Klug. The installation found inspiration in the company’s Signature Design, Crystal Grid, a design concept fusing the patterns of orthogonality with the sparkle of crystal. Using hand-blown crystal tubes and a grid structure created a spatial impression through form and illumination.
