Crown Towers

Perth, Australia

In one of its largest regional projects to date, Preciosa created more than 5,300 lights for the Crown Towers Perth Hotel in Perth, Australia.

Preciosa actually worked with three different designers on this impressive project. With Michael Fiebrich Design, Singapore we assisted with lighting for VIP Gaming and Villas; we worked with Bates Smart in Australia for the majority of the public and guestroom areas and finally with Blainey North we designed lighting for the gym, spa and Crystal Club.

For the public and guestroom areas, Bates Smart took inspiration from the glamour of Manhattan and Palm Springs, using lush jewel tones and a combination of both modern and art deco elements. To fulfil this vision, Preciosa delivered nearly 850 graceful bedside pendants and about 430 feature art scones for the bathrooms. The spa boasts four chandeliers made from polished stainless steel, clear acrylic rods and hand-blown glass. Leading the way to the VIP Gaming space, Preciosa created three extensive lighting installations made from clear optical glass and weighing 260 kilograms. Inside the gaming room, players will perhaps get a little extra luck when they see our unique scone lighting design that resembles a line of playing cards displayed on the gaming table.

The 500-room Crown Towers Perth is part of a larger resort and casino complex which also offers a convention centre, theatre, two ballrooms, 32 restaurants and two additional hotels. The hotel has won a number of awards including 2017 International Hotel & Property Awards - Best Hotel Suite, Asia Pacific – Chairman’s Villa; 2017 Luxury Travel Magazine Gold List Awards - Best Australian Luxury Hotel and Best New Luxury Property; 2017 AHA WA Accommodation Awards for Excellence - Best Deluxe Accommodation Hotel, Best Accommodation Hotel and 2017 HM Awards for Hotel & Accommodation Excellence - Best New Hotel - Crown Towers Perth.
