About

For Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium, COLOURLIVING invited Preciosa to create lighting for its key spaces. For the main entrance, the winning proposal was our Signature Design Inspiral that unfolds in a dynamic composition to draw visitors inwards. For the VIP lobby, the client selected another of our Signature Designs, Pearl Drop. Together, the two installations create a seamless narrative of anticipation and elegance in a sporty setting.

Inspiral of Motion, a lighting installation created for the main entrance and inspired by our Signature Design Inspiral, unfolds from a slender form into a sweeping, expansive welcoming gesture. Its organic, fluid movement captures the energy, rhythm, and dynamism of sport.
The lines of Inspiral of Motion seem to float effortlessly in space, delicately suspended by slender metal wires. A refined, silver-toned frame subtly enhances the play of reflections, allowing the crystal prisms to shimmer and refract light with natural brilliance.
Beauty of Athlete’s Motion, the installation created for the VIP lobby, draws inspiration from the powerful yet graceful movement of an athlete in motion. It infuses the space with a vibrant sense of energy and uplifting dynamism.

Striking lighting scenes, seamlessly realised from render to reality

Our in-house design team developed bespoke animations featuring dynamic lighting scenes for this project, enabling us to vividly present our creative vision to the client. These scenes can, for instance, illuminate the three winning teams, showcase the colours of competing sides, or transition seamlessly throughout the day in response to time and atmosphere.

Watch the video to experience the mesmerising lighting scenes crafted by our artistic lighting team, and see how we transform a design vision into a breathtaking reality.

Radek loves crystal because it’s a beautiful material that allows for freedom, variety, colours, textures, and reflections.

Radek prepared several Pearl Drop options for the client to choose from, some of which were based on the booklet. The overall shape of Pearl Drop was adjusted to better fit the space and improve occupancy. However, the core concept of Pearl Drop - the beauty of an athlete’s motion - remains unchanged.
