Lights in Louix Louis Grand Bar

St. Regis Toronto

Toronto - Canada

The St. Regis hotel brand is known for Edwardian-era luxury. The first St. Regis in Toronto epitomizes luxury, elegance, and Canadian spirit.

Preciosa Lighting produced a variety of pieces throughout the hotel, including lighting in the bar-restaurant, lobby and guestrooms. One of the most interesting is the fascinating lights in St Regis’ Louix Louis Grand Bar.
The Grand Bar is devoted to whisky, paying homage to Toronto’s heritage as one of the largest distillery districts in the world at the turn of the 19th century. The ceiling boasts a gorgeous mural by a local artist entitled “Bouquet of Whisky.”
DesignAgency wanted lights that highlighted this artistry. They requested Preciosa produce something inspired by flowing whisky. The handmade chandeliers not only illuminate the bar space but also give an additional upward glow to the ‘whisky’ flowing across the ceiling.

Lights for public spaces

Innvest Hotels commissioned DesignAgency to design the majority of the hotel’s public spaces including the café, bar, spa, lobby and meeting rooms. Chapi Chapo Design guided the look of the nearly 130 suites, going for a vibe that was both elegant and comfortable.

If you were to describe the overall look and feel of the St. Regis Toronto it would simply be glamour. Touches of this allure can be found in the sophisticated lighting Preciosa provided for nearly all the decorative lighting in the lobby and restaurant. In guestrooms, bed side lamps of hand-blown smoky glass and polished bronze add a cosmopolitan touch.
