Thank you to everyone who visited the Preciosa Lighting Open Day in Kamenický Šenov and joined us on a journey through time.

Where every lighting story begins

Every lighting installation has a story. At our Open Day in Kamenický Šenov, we had the pleasure of showing thousands of visitors where those stories begin.

For decades, we have brought together Czech glassmaking traditions and innovative technologies to create lighting installations for spaces around the world. This year, visitors followed that journey firsthand, from the first sketches and technical development to glassmaking, cutting and the finishing touches that bring each piece to life.

It's a fascinating process where creative ideas meet the craftsmanship and expertise needed to make them real, whether the final destination is a hotel, a private interior or an ocean liner.

100 crafts. One roof.

What makes Preciosa Lighting truly exceptional that here, more than 100 crafts and specialisations work side by side, from design, engineering and development to glassmaking, metalwork, electronics and final assembly.

Bringing these disciplines together under one roof gives us the freedom to work closely with architects and designers, explore creative possibilities and solve challenges along the way. It also allows us to maintain exceptional quality and craftsmanship while turning even the most ambitious ideas into reality

More than a factory tour

Visitors explored our latest Signature Designs, browsed an exhibition of historical photographs showing how our facilities have evolved over the years, and enjoyed a musical performance on the unique Preciosa crystal instrument. Younger visitors had plenty of activities to keep them entertained, too.

Thank you for being part of the day

Of course, the most memorable highlight was the people. To everyone who visited, and to our colleagues, their families and friends of Preciosa Lighting, thank you for the conversations, curiosity and enthusiasm you brought with you.

It was a pleasure to share not just our history, but also how we work today, bringing together generations of craftsmanship, new technologies and creative collaboration to turn ideas into extraordinary lighting. All under a single roof.
