About

For the newly redesigned Mikimoto Osaka Umeda store, we crafted a lighting installation inspired by the sea—the origin of every pearl. The design was the result of close collaboration between our in-house team and the architectural studio Arc & Tec.

Suspended at the heart of the store, the Atlantis Chandelier evokes a silent shoal of fish in motion. Inspired by nature from which Mikimoto’s iconic cultured pearls originate, it tells a story of fluidity, transformation, and timeless elegance.
Delicate, leaf-like forms with precise wedge cuts are brought to life through a refined palette of crystal finishes: clear with air bubbles, amber gradient, and opal layered with crystal.
The installation unfolds in two fluid sections along the recessed ceiling above the jewellery displays. A central ceiling projection subtly divides the view, ensuring the piece is never fully revealed at once—echoing the ocean’s depth and sense of mystery.
