Luzera Villa

For a Dubai luxury villa commissioned by our long-standing client LACASA LIVING, our partner on several distinguished projects, we created four bespoke installations that embody the essence of the villa: Luzera – where light breathes.

The first two installations are united by the “Crystal Geometry” design, where hand-blown crystal cubes and pyramids are set within slender metal frames. The interplay of sharp lines and softly diffused forms creates a balanced composition that echoes the villa’s architecture while introducing tactile depth.

The third installation, set within a private bedroom, features our Signature Design Raw Crystal, realised as a pendant composed of two extra-large Raw Crystal elements.

The fourth installation features hand‑blown crystal spheres in varied colours and finishes, some with inner silvering, suspended from fluid metal tubes to add an organic contrast to the villa’s structured lighting.

Technology & Craft

Opal & amber wrap technique

The process begins with the creation of a base form in clear crystal, gathered from the furnace and shaped through blowing or hand-forming. A fine layer of coloured glass is then wrapped around the surface — opal glass imparting a soft, milky translucence, while amber introduces warm, golden depth. The piece is reheated to fuse these layers seamlessly with the crystal core, ensuring a fluid transition without visible boundaries. At this stage, additional elements may be delicately applied and permanently integrated through further heating. Throughout the process, the glass is repeatedly returned to the furnace to maintain its malleability and structural integrity. Final refinements are executed with precision using glass shears, opening the form where required and perfecting its edges and decorative details.

Overlooking lush fairways and a championship golf course, the villa offers a tranquil retreat where light, landscape and architecture exist in quiet harmony. Conceived to celebrate openness and flow, Luzera achieves a considered balance between art and function. Inspired by “luz”, the Spanish word for light, every surface, material and spatial gesture is thoughtfully composed to enhance luminosity and movement, creating an environment that feels at once serene, dynamic and timeless.
