The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad

New York City, USA

The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad is a luxurious new property in NYC’s North of Madison (NoMad) neighbourhood. With a motto of “where grand views meet big design,” it features a bold design, legendary restaurants and bars, and immersive experiences.

Developed by Marriott, Ritz-Carlton Hotels, and Flag Luxury Properties, the property was designed by renowned architect Rafael Vinoly. We worked with Award Winning interior designer Yabu Pushelberg to create a notable lighting fixture for the Ritz-Carlton Ballroom.

Melanie Li, VP of Design & Development at Flag Luxury Group, shared her vision for the Ballroom lighting with us. “We wanted a modern design approach inspired by a trellis for the ceiling light fixture rather than the typical chandeliers people normally see in ballrooms and meeting spaces.”

Preciosa created a 3D effect on the ceiling, crafting individual elements from painted steel and acrylic. These were then carefully placed to create the composition designers desired. The installation stretches more than 150 metres across the expansive ceiling and creates a stunning, sparkling piece which captivates guests’ imagination.

Ms. Li said: “We are thrilled with the result. From corporate meetings to weddings, the Ritz-Carlton NoMad Ballroom is a place where important things happen.”

It was a great privilege for Preciosa to bring this notable project to life. We’re very proud we had the opportunity to contribute to the extraordinary experiences The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad provides its guests.
