Aquila yacht
The 85.6 metre motor yacht Aquila underwent an extensive 12-month refit
programme. Nearly every space was upgraded, including the social spaces,
owner’s suite, a cinema was added to the main salon, and the technical
systems were modernized. Preciosa Lighting worked on a stunning stairway
chandelier with Redman Whiteley Dixon and Susan Young Interiors.
This magnificent chandelier cascades 11.2 metres through four deck levels. The light is comprised of more than 850 hand-blown glass pieces including two sizes of crystal balls and twisted crystal rods.
The surrounding staircase is decorated with leather touches and finished with a glistening stainless frame that is connected to the light art piece via 500 individual stainless steel fittings for stability.

Aquila is the largest yacht yet to be refitted in the UK, and the scope of the work undertaken included an impressive revitalisation of all five deck levels. Pendennis shipyards re-delivered the 85.6m motor yacht Aquila in June 2016, after an extensive 12-month refit programme.
