Preciosa Lighting is honoured to take part in the exhibition ‘A Journey of Light’ at the Union Building, presenting its installation Ascension. Karim Nader Studio conceived the exhibition in collaboration with Atelier 33.

The Union Building stands in a state of transformation—neither ruin nor completion. Like Beirut itself, it glows with potential as the city writes a new chapter. From ruin to rhythm, scar to breath, fracture to sky, Union is reborn—carrying its history forward into a luminous future. Every floor and every threshold unfolds as a new chapter in its story—a true journey of light.

WHAT: Discover Ascension – an installation by Lukáš Žák Uliarczyk, Lead Designer at Preciosa Lighting, exploring transformation and the journey from descent to ascent.

WHERE: Immeuble de l'Union, 192 Spears Street, Beirut, Lebanon

WHEN: October 22–26, 2025

Ascension

Ascension

Preciosa’s Ascension, installed in the Union lobby, is a luminous journey of transformation and reflection.

Suspended as a radiant portal of glass and light, it turns descent into ascent and fracture into harmony. Inspired by Dante’s passage from Inferno to Purgatory, it reverses gravity, lifting the soul from shadow to clarity.

Echoing Beirut—a city that has risen from the inferno of war—Ascension embodies resilience and renewal. It invites viewers to awaken, reflect, and experience the transcendent beauty of hope reborn.
