The historic 1930s Vista Mar Monte hotel in Santa Barbara, California underwent an extensive renovation to be transformed into the Mar Monte Hotel, part of the Unbound Collection by Hyatt. The interior design was led by Beleco who chose white walls for an airy atmosphere and an earthen colour palette for a Spanish-style feel. Preciosa delivered more than 30 fixtures in four different spaces of the property.

The Mar Monte has two dining areas: Café Lido and Costa Kitchen and Café. In Costa, the statement lighting piece is a multi-tiered chandelier with cascading strands of tiny black beads suspended from a dark bronze ceiling canopy. Diners also relax under nine other chandeliers featuring four opal frosted convex glass shades and a metal structure. Wall sconces with brown specially shaped shades complete the space. Four chandelier cluster with six pendants each are the highlight of the bright Café Lido. The custom lighting has dark bronze ceiling canopies with hand-woven basket shades in different shapes and dimensions.

Preciosa also supplied lighting to a variety of the meeting and event spaces. In the Pacific ballroom, nine subtle chandeliers provide an elegant look. These fixtures have a curved metal base with 11 white onyx discs which hide the dimmable LEDs.
