The Forester, a Hyatt Place Hotel is a contemporary, chic hotel located in Lake
Forest which motto is “Naturae et Scientiae Amor”. Property developer Janko
Hospitality and interior designer NORR Chicago took the science and nature theme
as their inspiration for the hotel’s design. Preciosa Lighting created three
lighting fixtures for public spaces, in harmony with this theme.
The hotel’s lounge is a warm and welcoming space for guests to relax. A cluster of Preciosa hand-blown glass pendants feature a shadow gradient that highlights the space’s rich colours creates a hub of warmth and contributes to this vibe.
The science motif is quickly apparent in the glowing art wall growing in the lobby. Decorative hexagonal painted bronze metal elements pick up reflections from the wall’s metallic highlights. We used clear and frosted plate glass in this installation.
In the Oaken Bistro + Bar, a row of hand-blown glass wall sconces highlight a seating area. The glass spheres are suspended from a black matte fixture.
