Preciosa collaborated with Marriott International Global Procurement and the
designers at BLUR Workshop to bring a fresh lighting vision to the newly
reimagined W Austin. The transformation has already made its mark, earning the
2025 Gold Key Awards for both Hotel Luxury and Guestroom Luxury.
A striking linear wall piece, crafted from bronze rods and frosted diffusers set in a crisp grid, anchors the hotel’s expansive lobby. Framing the front desk as a feature wall, it adds depth and texture, giving the space a richer architectural character.
A delicate crystal chandelier hovers above the cocktail bar, designed to draw the eye and echo the venue’s sculptural elegance. Hand-formed glass pendants suspend from a tailored lighting frame, creating a quietly captivating focal point.
A fluid, snake-like installation of opal-frosted glass diffusers forms a bespoke centrepiece above the coffee bar. Its polished brass canopy lends warmth and showcases fine craftsmanship, casting an inviting, atmospheric glow.

After a multimillion-dollar renovation in early 2025, W Austin returns as a vibrant tribute to the city’s music scene and natural landscape. Bold architecture, layered textures, and immersive details define the redesign, including 251 refreshed guestrooms—32 of them suites—subtly echoing the tree-lined shores of Lady Bird Lake. At its centre, the transformed Living Room showcases a sculptural gold bar shaped by trumpet-like curves, topped with a standout chandelier by Preciosa.
