The St. Regis San Francisco

San Francisco, USA

The St. Regis San Francisco first opened in 2005 and introduced a new dimension of luxury and gracious living to the city. The property recently underwent a guestroom and meeting space refurbishment led by Chapi Chapo Design. They called on Preciosa Lighting to create nearly all the guestroom lighting fixtures.

In all, more than 1200 pieces were created, including ceiling pendants, floor lamps, reading lights and vanity lights. In the bathrooms, sconces are fixed in the corners of the mirror wall. They are formed from a metal back plate and curved metal shade with an opal acrylic cylinder light. In some of the larger rooms, Preciosa pendants made from metal rings with opal acrylic diffusers hang above the dining tables. Floor lamps add a homelike touch and feature metal bases and white linen fabric shades. Finally, bedside, there are extendable and adjustable wall sconces made from brushed brass.

These aren’t the first Preciosa lights to be installed in the St. Regis. When the hotel first opened in 2005, we created a more than five metre long fixture for the Lobby Lounge Bar consisting of 60 glass cylinders hung at varying lengths. Organic chandeliers crafted from metal wires and a mixture of trimmings, drops, and beads hang in the meeting space
