Discover Preciosa during Designblok 2018

Designblok, Prague International Design Festival is the largest design and fashion show in Central Europe. Preciosa Lighting is excited to join in as one of the participating showrooms. Our beautiful Flagship store in the centre of Prague will be aglow with some gorgeous new lighting installations.

Czech Premiere

Two of 2018’s most exciting solitaire lights will be making their Czech premiere in conjunction with Designblok. Guests will be able to discover Siren, which was first shown at Maison & Objet in Paris and Pearl Drop, which debuted at Salone del Mobile in Milan. Preciosa will also be celebrating the participants and announcing the winner of Master of Crystal, our annual competition for young designers.

Cultivation of Chandeliers

In addition to our contemporary line of lighting, lovers of both design and history will appreciate the opportunity to discover Preciosa’s Cultivation of Chandeliers. Glass making tools from Preciosa’s factory in Crystal Valley will also be on display.

Crystal Masters

Preciosa will also announce the winner of the 11th Master of Crystal competition for young designers. The aim of this year's competition was to create a unique light object based on the theme, ‘In and Out.’ And what does that mean? The professional jury wanted designers to consider the path of life, that fact that we are constantly moving from one stage to another. We change ourselves, and our surroundings change. People, objects and stories come and go. Considering this, how should a light illuminate this path?

The winner, who will not only be the proud bearer of the title Master of Crystal 2018, will also receive a 30,000Kč financial prize, the opportunity to attend a design event abroad, and Preciosa will produce the winning design in our factory.
