The former head office of Midland Bank, one of the City of London's most distinguished 20th Century buildings, had been empty for nearly eight years. It was re-opened as luxury lodgings with 9 restaurants, a rooftop pool and a bar in the vault.

This Grade I listed property, (placed on the Statutory List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest in the UK), that inspired the James Bond film Goldfinger, has 252 bedrooms.

Preciosa was invited to design and develop stylish crystal pendants, table lamps and floorlamps for the guestrooms. In the public areas - Cecconi's, an italian restaurant, the Asian Market, Library, Members Bar, Millies, Oculus, Selman & Zobler, Sushi Bar, Vault Bar,  Princes St. Dome and the 5th floor reception - Preciosa table lamps can be found. Wall sconces and pendants produced in Crystal Valley, the home of Preciosa, can also be found in the pool area.
