You never get a second chance to make a first impression. Maria Sonne-Frederiksen, owner of interior designer firm ART4ALL took that old adage to heart when they tasked Preciosa Lighting to create something memorable for the lobby of the Holiday Inn Sokolniki in Moscow.
A more than 12 metres wide lighting installation seems to dance between the two levels of the hotel’s soaring lobby. Using thin wires, Preciosa created the illusion of softly falling crystal raindrops. Four different types of trimmings were used to craft the lovely look: handcrafted cut crystal beads and crystal prisms plus grooved glass balls and glass onions made from technical glass.
The mesmerizing beauty of the lighting gives guests of the Holiday Inn an impressive first, and final, impression.
