Lighting can be the crowning touch of a space. At the Emery Hotel in Minneapolis, interior designers Studio Mai called on Preciosa to add a special lighting touch to a few of the public spaces.
The Emery’s design vibe takes inspiration from the mid-century modern style and features art deco touches, marble architecture and high-end finishes. In the hotel’s Giulia restaurant, Preciosa created sleek chandeliers from metal shades with clear optical glass rods, suspended by metal arms. In the Spy House Coffee shop, scattered about are 12 Preciosa chandeliers in three different sizes. They feature an inner round dome-shaped metal shade with a bottom of opal frosted acrylic diffuser. A metal belt around the perimeter of the shade brings the pieces together. Finally, Preciosa wall sconces with hand-blown opal frosted glass shades suspended from black metal can be found in the lobby.
